Sounds for Silents

Pretty stoked for this…in about a week, some friends and I (who play in a loose collective called The Oresund Sound) will provide a live score to two episodes of the popular early 20th century silent film series Beatrice Fairfax. We ran through a couple of episodes last night at the museum, with lights low and a big projection on the wall. It was pretty great.

Anyway, it’s part of the Ithaca Motion Picture Project‘s Silent Film History Month, and I think it’ll be swell.

  2. This was crazy fun, and cheers to Joe (http://charismaticsaredangerous.com/) for providing the perfect drum / percussion support for the whole thing. I think it would have fallen apart 100 times over without it.
